I love finding faith-based blogs, and I recently came across one that I wanted to share! It’s by Pastor Jarrid Wilson. His most recent blog post, "If Christianity Bores you, then you haven't met Jesus" really stood out to me!
http://jarridwilson.com/christianity-bores-havent-met-jesus/ Everything he says is on point! Although I grew up in the church and was born into a Christian family, there was a period of time (mainly high school and my pre-adult years) where I found Christianity to be the most boring thing ever. I completely relate to Pastor Jarrid's story, and I feel as though several of my close friends who are now strong believers have as well. The moment I surrendered my ways and let go, I began to experience God's presence in my life. I mean, seriously..the moment you experience this, you truly see how INCREDIBLE and EXCITING life is as a believer. God is constantly blowing my mind with how amazing He is. I honestly get sad thinking about the number of people in our world that are .living a lost, faithless life. I pray that as a daughter of Christ, I take my past experiences and turn them into testimonies to share. I pray that I gain the confidence to go out there, be bold and to spread His love. I want to stand out and glow in the dark. (or sparkle, whichever..) "Understand that the Christian life isn’t always going to be roses and sunshine. Everybody encounters doubt, anxiety and even fear—We wouldn’t be human unless we did. What we need to remember is that even during these times of darkness and uncertainty, we have a light at the end of the tunnel to run towards. Jesus’ spirit, our comfort and peace is an ocean of eternal euphoria. The fear of rules and regulations are false. Don’t let the talk of religion keep you from experiencing an unfathomable relationship with Christ." —Jarrid Wilson “4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”--Ephesians 2:4-9
