"the Lord will fight for you.." - Exodus 14:14
to think that i am now a CPT, group fitness instructor + health enthusiast..purely proof that there is hope + i give all glory to God!
i never thought I'd be bold enough to do a post like this but I was reminded of this quote this morning.."be you, bravely".
I'm a huge promoter of self-love + body positivity, but I hesitated about posting this..would people judge me? unfriend me? think I'm weird? all of these thoughts ran through my head. my sas encouraged me to post, so here i am..posting. if you're friends with me on facebook/follow my personal instagram account + scroll back a few years, you'll see several photos of me looking just like I do in this photo on the left..but wow, what a difference two years can make!
i have always been petite, but about 6 years ago, I began to get into fitness and unfortunately, took it too far. I guess you could say I didn't really know what I was doing, so I attempted to get fit my own way. I read through every fitness magazine + began to pick up "heathy" concepts + trends that were not beneficial for my figure or body type. years of excessive cardio + lack of nutrition brought me to a pretty low place. looking back, I am now so beyond thankful for healing + finding balance between life + fitness. i hope to encourage anyone who has or is going through a similar situation.
if you saw my first post on my @pegactive instagram account, you read a brief summary of my past, my history with orthorexia + overtraining. God was truly watching over me. He kept me safe throughout it all! it truly is a miracle that I didn't end up sick. it took time for me to overcome the battle, but God's timing is always perfect.
I pursued a healthier lifestyle in the beginning of 2015 + so thankful that I did!
my goals in life are to inspire, motivate + help others achieve their goals!
