Oh my Gosh. It has been SO SO long since I've last visited my own "website"..LOL. So many exciting things have happened since the new year began. I don't even know where to start! By far, the most exciting thing has been the arrival of my little nephew, Eliott Elam Bartley aka my best friend aka love of my life. I have officially become THAT aunt..showing his photos to strangers, co-workers, really everyone and anyone..LOL. Don't judge me, I just love him so much.
From nephew and auntie time to hanging out with close friends, pursuing my fitness certification, joining the Imago Fitness studio staff, attending and watching Warriors home games, seeing Justin Bieber live (yup, I did that...), and spending a large amount of time with my family..2016 has been nothing short of incredible. I am so so so excited for this year and all that is to come!
On a spiritual level..things have been a bit difference since my home church, Revive, ended in December. Although I have been attending another local church, I find myself getting too comfortable, which is not where I want to be. There's a quote by Francis Chan that I came across while doing some morning devotionals the other day....
“But God doesn't call us to be comfortable. He calls us to trust Him so completely that we are unafraid to put ourselves in situations where we will be in trouble if He doesn't come through.”
― Francis Chan, Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God
I have mentioned this before, but I don't want to ignore and put aside the gifts that He has given me. I pray that I continue to seek what these gifts are.. and to put them to use for His glory. I want to be a vessel and an instrument for God. I want others to see His light shining through my life. To be honest, I'm not okay with comfortable. I don't think that, as Christians, any of us should be.
I am so beyond thankful for my dad, sister, brother-in-law and close friends that are believers for continuing to set the best examples of this in my life!
Anyways, here are some fun photos to sum up these past few months..hehe (Trust me, there are probably a billion more photos of baby E on my phone..hehe)
