if you follow me, you know that i just got back from a quick family trip in indiana! my brother in law, clint, and sister, parastou, had a baby this past january, so the olfat's joined them as they traveled to indy with baby eliott aka my best friend! (ps- be sure to check out her website. she is amazing)
i'm so glad i purchased a fitmark bag the morning of our flight! i got the "box LG" from active nutrition (pictured above). it was $79.99. kind of pricey for a bag, but so worth it! it comes with meal prep containers and a shaker bottle! i used it for the flight there, the trip itself and the flight back! PS- did you know you can take prepped meals and frozen ice packs through TSA? amazing.
my parents and i took a trip to whole foods our first morning there! they had one in carmel, indiana and it was beautiful! (yes, i just called whole foods beautiful) i needed to get my cold brew, almond milk, bread, fruit, yogurt, prepped sandwiches and a few other snacks for the four days we were there! unfortunately our hotel didn't have the best breakfast options, but thankfully we had a fridge, so i was able to keep everything in there. now before you start to think i'm crazy..i definitely do allow myself to indulge in fun and exciting things from time to time, but i try to stick to my routine of 6 mini meals a day even while traveling to keep my metabolism running! i know it's not common for most to follow this regimen with meals that are smaller portions, but i tend to stay on my own schedule (listening to my body and eating when i'm hungry despite the time of day, lol..there is nothing worse than feeling iffy or sick on a trip!)
now..for the fun stuff. what did i take with me on the plane? i love to be fully prepared, so here's a list of a few things i brought with me from home!
